Order accuracy: clear orders begin before the kitchen.
Order accuracy for restaurants, bars and cafés starts at the table: with tap to order, guests tap an NFC display or scan the QR code, order from their own phone with no app, and every modifier reaches the kitchen display written out instead of shouted across the room. A written ticket still needs a process for modifiers, allergies and corrections. This guide shows how to test yours.

Map where errors can enter.
An unclear menu, the wrong choice, a vague note, a lost handoff, the right dish to the wrong table. A phone makes choices explicit; it can't check every assumption.
- Use item names and descriptions that match what the kitchen makes.
- Make modifiers and exclusions explicit, so a free-text note never carries a request that needs a person.
- Route unusual requests to someone who can confirm them.
- Check that each ticket carries its table or pickup point, and that the right plate reaches it.
Allergy communication needs a human protocol.

A text field is not proof that an allergy is understood or safely handled. Staff confirm allergy information with the guest, follow venue procedures, and have a clear way to pause or decline an order. Read the allergy workflow guide before designing your order path.
Accuracy is a chain of decisions.
Menu wording, modifiers, availability, routing, preparation, table identification and delivery all decide whether the right plate lands. Name who can catch a mistake at each step, then test it.
- Run realistic sample orders. A simple item, a modifier-heavy item, a sold-out item and a correction after sending, placed by someone who doesn't know the menu. Then ask the kitchen and floor whether each ticket is clear enough to act on.
- Set a correction path. How staff stop or edit an order once it's in the queue, who approves a remake, and how the right table gets it.
- Measure before you claim. Compare corrections and staff questions over a short trial, so you judge accuracy on your own numbers.
